Today my elderly mother who gave up gardening because of her health, woke up to find that most of her hard work for her garden had been done. Later, we found that her neighbor with Terminal Cancer had done the work. He said he won’t see it bloom, but knowing that the beauty be there will give him hope.

When my friend and I were 16, my friend’s mom was told she had four months to live. My friend never knew her father, and did not want to go to live with him. Her mom held on for two years. A few weeks after my friend turned 18 and could look after herself, her mom finally let go. Her courage through her pain and her love for her daughter GMH.

Today, my boyfriend told me that he loved me. When I asked why, he took out a list. It was 337 reasons long, and he said he had a pen in his back pocket in case he remembered any new ones. His love gives me hope.
